Welcome to the
Massillon
Club
The
Massillon Club was founded in 1917 by the Massillon Chamber of Commerce
to encourage business in a social setting. Today the club has expanded
to provide social, community, religious organizations, family and
friends with a place to meet and eat. The club may be serving the
Rotary or the United Way or the Toastmasters or a woman’s card club. It
is all about getting together in a pleasant atmosphere with food and
beverage to do what ever the members wish to do.
The
Club house really is a house. It has been furnished with the exact same
furniture you would like to have in your house. In addition to the main
dining room and kitchen there are private dining areas, porches
upstairs and downstairs, a dance floor, a game room, a pool room, a
fireplace and a full service bar with a cocktail lounge.
On
weekdays the members enjoy a varied lunch menu between 11AM and 2PM. In
addition to the standard menu there are always daily specials. We
encourage you to come ready for conversation at the round table.
Remember, if we fill the round table for lunch, everyone gets a free
sundae! When you are ready to leave just sign your ticket and you are
on your way without a lost moment. All members are on open account. If
you have a guest who wishes to pay, they can use a credit card or cash.
If time allows hang around and have a conversation at the round table
or in one of the open rooms. Maybe you will find a new friend!
Remember
to join us on Friday evenings when the club serves a full
course
meal. Catch up with old friends, or make some new
ones.
In
the fall, Friday nights are especially popular because the Massillon
Tiger Football team plays on Friday nights and that brings a lot of
members in to talk about the game. Of course the bar and lounge are
always open when the club is open to serve your beverage of choice
along with complimentary snacks such as Grandpa Shearer's kettle cooked
potato chips, tortilla chips, cheese curls, popcorn, nuts, mini
pretzels and my personal favorite, butter braided twisted pretzels.
In
addition to the activities inside the club, there are activities
outside the club such as the golf outing and trips to the track. Club
members can enjoy a free round of golf at The Lion's Den on Mondays
after 5p.m., and at The Elms on Thursdays after 5 p.m. We like to get
together and have fun. Membership is open to everyone, but you must
like people!
